Grab Bars That Hold
When It Matters

A steady hand, exactly where you reach for it — in the shower, getting out of the tub, and beside the toilet. Installed right, anchored solid, and tested before we leave.

A grab bar is only as good as what it is anchored to

Bathrooms are where most home slips happen, and a bar held on by tile, drywall, or a suction cup is not something to lean your full weight on. We anchor every grab bar to studs or solid blocking behind the wall — never to tile or drywall alone. A towel bar is not a grab bar, and we will never treat it like one.

Bars are placed where your hand naturally reaches: at the height and angle that work for the person using them, not just where a stud happens to be. If your wall needs blocking added first, we will say so before we drill, with the price, so there are no surprises.

🚿 Shower & Tub

Vertical bars at the entry, horizontal bars along the back wall, and support where you step in and out. Straight, angled, and corner bars to fit the space you actually use.

🚽 Beside the Toilet

A bar within easy reach for sitting down and standing up — placed for the person using it, with solid anchoring on the wall beside the toilet.

🏠 Steps & Entries

Support at the places where a step up or down meets a wall — bathrooms, laundry rooms, and entries where a steady hand makes the difference.

How it works

  1. Call, text, or book. Tell us where you want support and who will be using it. Call or text (706) 970-9267 or book at shomerepair.com/booking.html.
  2. Free quote. We look at the wall, find the solid anchoring, and agree on placement, bar style, and finish — and the price — before any work starts.
  3. Install and test. We install, check every mounting point, and test each bar before we leave. Many jobs are finished in a single visit.
  4. Backed by warranty. Grab bar installation is backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty.

Finishes: chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, and white are the common choices. Tell us the finish you want when you book and we will match it as closely as available. Bars: we can supply the bars as part of the job, or install bars you have already bought.

Good to know before you call

If you are planning a wider bathroom update — a walk-in shower, a comfort-height toilet, or a full senior bathroom remodel — ask about doing the grab bars as part of that job. It is often simpler to add blocking and place bars while other work is already open. See our senior bathroom remodel page for the full bathroom option.

Grab bar questions, answered straight

How much does grab bar installation cost?

It depends on how many bars, the wall type, and the finish. Call or text (706) 970-9267 or book a visit for a free quote. No work starts without your approval of the price.

Can you install a grab bar on tile or a fiberglass surround?

Tile, yes, anchored to studs or solid blocking behind it. Fiberglass and acrylic surrounds need to be checked first — some cannot hold a bar safely without reinforcement. We will tell you plainly before drilling if your wall needs a different approach.

Do you supply the grab bars, or do I buy them?

Either way. We can supply the bars as part of the job, or install bars you have already bought. Tell us which when you book, and tell us the finish you want.

How long does it take?

Many grab bar jobs are finished in a single visit. We measure, find solid anchoring, install, and test each bar before we leave.

Is the work covered by a warranty?

Yes. Grab bar installation is backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty.
